Join thel Victory Belles as they celebrate the season with a sleigh full of swinging holiday hits! You’ll love their beautiful Belle harmony on Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, Jingle Bells, Let it Snow and dozens more. This lively musical revue featuring sparkling costumes, delightful choreography and audience interaction will make you feel as bright as Christmas lights — or Rudolph’s nose.  Advance ticket purchase is recommended ($30 show only up to $60 with dinner).

Santa Paws NOLA Festival and Parade!!!

The LA/SPCA hosts a holiday pet costume contest and parade across from the Convention Center with drinks, pet-friendly activities, prizes and professional pet photography.

Join LA-SPCA and Santa Paws for their first annual holiday-themed pet costume contest and parade on December 1st in New Orleans Historic Warehouse District!

Register now to sashay your furry friend to the Santa Paws Second Line Parade. We’ll provide the jingle juice and you just come with your fabulous pooch!

Santa Paws NOLA Detailed Schedule:

2:00pm Heritage Park – Registration, free drinks, and the festivities begin! Across from the New Orleans Morial Convention Center between John Churchill Chase & Gaienne Streets

3:15pm – Second Line Pet Parade starts at entrance of Heritage Park. Brass Band. Pets and pet owners parade down Convention Center Boulevard to Convention Center Pedestrian Plaza – Julia Street and Convention Center Blvd.

3:45pm- Second Line Pet Parade arrives at Convention Center Plaza. Activities at Convention Center Plaza include LA/SPCA adoption booth, vendors with pet holiday treats, photos with Santa Claus and music. 5×7” photos with Santa will be available for purchase onsite for $10 (cash only). Riverview Photography will also provide website info cards to purchase more photos, Christmas ornaments and other photo gifts.

4:00pm- Holiday Pet Costume Contest – Celebrity judges, including Margarita Bergen, Brett Bauman and LeBron Joseph, will name top three “Best in Show”. Great Prizes to be won.

5:00pm- Santa Paws ends and “Christmas in the District Lights” begin – the largest Christmas Light Display in NOLA. Come and join the celebration!

Additionally, Santa Paws NOLA will take place within the setting of “Christmas in the District,” a brand new holiday-themed large-scale light display celebrating the culture and history of New Orleans. This one-of-a-kind holiday environment will feature over 70 trees and almost a mile of animated lighting effects synchronized to music.

The National World War II Museum

Since its opening day on D-Day — June 6, 2000, nearly two-million visitors have toured the National World War II Museum. A must-see for history lovers and all patriots, it has been designated by the U.S. Congress as the country’s official World War II Museum. Powerful images and extraordinary artifacts bring to life the American Spirit, the courage, teamwork and sacrifice of the young men and women who won the war and changed the world. From the 1930s prelude to war, to the Normandy Invasion and the battles of the Pacific Islands, visitors trace America’s role in the war and on the Home Front.

Hours: Mon-Sun 9am-5pm; Closed major holidays

Admission Cost: Museum admission is $22 for adults; $19 for seniors over age 65; $13 for students K-12 and college with ID and active military with ID; and museum members, World War II veterans and children under 5 are admitted free. Films are $5 extra with general admission; second-day passes $6 extra with general admission.

2013 Oak Street Po-Boy Festival presented by Abita Beer

*Highlights of the festival?
- This will be the 7th Annual Oak Street Po-Boy Festival
- Po-Boy Fest features high-end live local music on the Main Stage, and a Community Stage that will showcase rising talent from local area schools.
- 40 Food vendors selling signature po-boys from the best local restaurants, food trucks and caterers.
- History Center and Gallery curated by Michael Mizell-Nelson, a local historian and professor of history at the University of New Orleans.
- VIP Hospitality Area.
- The Children’s Village, which provides a safe and entertaining space for children and a respite from the crowds, located at 1031 South Carrollton Avenue at Zimple Street.
- This year we will host a food drive for 2nd Harvest Food Bank in conjunction with St Andrews Episcopal and the Knights of Columbus.

Thanksgiving at the Fair Grounds!!!

Thanksgiving in New Orleans is a different holiday experience.There’s one uniquely-NOLA Thanksgiving tradition: opening day at the Fair Grounds. On Thanksgiving Day, you can bring the whole family to the race track to bet on horses, have a Thanksgiving meal and a permanent Thanksgiving memory. It’s also a prime opportunity to see festive Thanksgiving derby hats. Gates open at 10AM.
