New Orleans’ hidden secret

Posted by: djnesbit2324 @ 12:27 pm

My friend and I stumbled across the bar at The Pontchartrain Landing back in July and we’ve been “regulars” ever since. It’s not the quaint atmosphere or the almost nightly live entertainment that keep us coming back, but rather the friendly staff.  More specifically, the bartender Matt keeps us coming back week after week. In addition to his keen ability to make Pontchartrain punch and A Bloody Mary, Matt also has a personality that ensures all customers are kept happy and laughing. We love his sharp wit, his infectious laugh and particularly his fabulous rapping skills. Oh, and the guy can sing! Matt makes this bar a great hidden secret of New Orleans. We are hesitant to share our find with others, but at the same time we’d like all to enjoy our Matt as much as we do.

Harold & I have been camping since 1968. Our first trip was fromNJ  to CA in a 13′Scotty Trailer with our 6 & 9 yr old children.  Now we camp with our cat Patrick.  We have FOUND the most wonderful campground.  It’s called Ponchartrain Landing in New Orleans, LA.  The facility is great, the landscaping is perfect.  The site size is quite adequate, and most of all THE STAFF is the best.  The people at Ponchartrain are the most friendly and helpful people we have ever come in contact with in our camping history.  Patrick was lost in the campground for over 3 days.  We were getting ready to leave when Joe came to our site  and said the most wonderful words :WE FOUND HIM”.  We now have our 5 yr old Patrick back.  Thank God and thank the staff at PonchartrainLanding.  We will be back.
